Title: Senior Instructional Designer Location: Remote Duration: 4+ months of W2 Contract with possible extension Job Description Lead projects through the design lifecycle including scoping, research and analysis, design, development, and launch. Provide clear timelines through all phases, communicate with key partners, and select appropriate measurement for successful implementation. Consult with program owners and subject matter experts to identify performance gaps and learning objectives and assess learners, performance outcomes, and evaluation strategies. Manage and develop professionally written, engaging learning. Facilitate requirements gathering meetings with key partners to identify needs and task analysis, scope projects, and evaluate existing content to identify the most appropriate training approach and content to support performance-based learning objectives. Lead or independently develop instructional materials (tutorials, digital interactives, user guides, audio, and video content (including scripts), storyboards, simulations, activities, assessment tests, etc.) that transform into professionally written, engaging learning. Project manage to timelines through all phases and with ability to balance multiple projects. Be the voice of the learner, ensuring their needs are at the forefront of our content efforts and helping our team iterate and improve on our content offerings. Required Skills: Experience with adult learning theory and instructional design strategies for performance-based outcomes Ability to innovate and move quickly from analysis through development for self-paced environment Ability to facilitate brainstorming sessions and gather requirements from partners Advanced skill with multimedia tools, software, video, graphics, and audio applications, such as Articulate Rise, Storyline, Camtasia, Vyond, Final Cut Pro, Adobe Premiere, Adobe Photoshop, and Audacity Experience with project management and time management methodologies to prioritize and deliver on several projects concurrently Demonstrated experience communicating technical/complicated concepts and processes using clear, simple language and visuals Experience conducting quality analysis reviews of online learning materials If you are interested in applying for this opportunity, please send us your updated resume. Details We are looking for an Instructional Designer (contract) to join our Sales Enablement team. This position is responsible for the design and development of engaging, learner-centered training courses, modules, and materials. This position will work to create these trainings for a variety of platforms including remote learning, blended classroom learning, interactive e-learning, etc. Within this role you will also be a key thought partner as we build training end-to-end, coming in with a point of view on how training content gets developed and make recommendations on training modalities based on your expertise. This person will be responsible for design work of decks / presentations / training material / and our Learning Management System landing pages. Design work is including but not limited to sales onboarding collateral, product training materials, etc, while abiding by our brand guidelines and standards where applicable. This person will interact cross-functionally with key stakeholders in product marketing, sales, learning & development, and IT. What you’ll do: Create training content that takes complex topics and turn them into engaging, digestible course materials within Articulate Rise, our Learning Management System (LMS), Google presentations, etc. Create knowledge checks / assessments based on course content Help design our LMS landing pages to be simple, sleek, and on-brand leveraging your graphic design skills Partner closely with cross functional team members to help design and develop course content in areas including but not limited to sales onboarding, product training, various sales certifications (soft and hard skills), and more Design work including but not limited to illustrations, deck design, training materials, landing pages within our LMS. What we’re looking for: 4+ years of Instructional Design experience ; Knowledge of adult learning principles and techniques Must have experience with e-learning development tools including Articulate Rise 360 and Storyline, Adobe Captivate, and have experience working within a LMS Demonstrated experience developing self-paced eLearning curriculums, storyboards, online tutorials, assessments and other materials Experience in graphic design and general design work in areas including but not limited to: visualizing data (making charts / graphs), deck design, creating illustrations, GIFs,etc Experience working at a marketing agency, digital / social media organization, and / or have extensive ad tech knowledge Ability to get up to speed on our product offerings and tools quickly Solid project management skills including, planning work, managing details, keeping multiple tasks/projects on track, working with stakeholders, and navigating ambiguity to deliver results. About the role: The Content & Training team handles the creation and maintenance of documentation and training curriculum for Cruise's Technical Product Operations team, which is responsible for producing machine learning data, maps, and vehicle performance data. In the role of Instructional Content Creator, you will be developing instructional web-based content using a variety of written, visual, and video media for a global team of data annotators.
